Let Down/Scarab

An illustration inspired by the song Let Down by Radiohead. I chose a scarab beetle because they are associated with rebirth and regeneration in Egyptian mythology. It sounded like the singer was comparing himself to an injured beetle rather than a butterfly. It's mostly watercolor, but the hairs were drawn with colored pencil.
